How to cancel ChatGPT Plus: step-by-step
The cancel button only exists where the charge comes from. Check your card statement: APPLE.COM/BILL → use Apple, GOOGLE * → use Google Play, otherwise you were billed directly by ChatGPT Plus.

How to cancel ChatGPT Plus — FAQ
Do I keep my ChatGPT history after cancelling Plus?
Yes — your account and chat history remain; you simply revert to the free tier with its model and usage limits.
How do I cancel ChatGPT Plus on iPhone or Android?
If you signed up directly, you can cancel ChatGPT Plus from any phone or computer browser in your account settings. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions screen instead — deleting the ChatGPT Plus app does not stop the billing.
How do I unsubscribe from ChatGPT Plus without being charged again?
Cancel before your next renewal date. ChatGPT Plus keeps your access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and once cancellation is confirmed you won't be billed again. Turning off auto-renewal has the same effect.
Can I cancel ChatGPT Plus without logging in or without account access?
If you can't log in, recover your account first — or cancel where you're billed. The Apple App Store, Google Play or PayPal can stop the payment even without ChatGPT Plus account access. As a last resort, ask your bank to block the recurring charge.
How do I get a refund or stop being charged by ChatGPT Plus?
Turn off auto-renewal or cancel first so no new charges occur. For money already taken, request a refund from ChatGPT Plus (or from Apple/Google if you were billed there). If they refuse and you cancelled in time, dispute the charge with your bank.
Still being charged?
If ChatGPT Plus won’t let you cancel, send a certified cancellation letter (it’s legally binding), then dispute the charge with your bank and file an FTC complaint.
