How to cancel Preply: step-by-step
The cancel button only exists where the charge comes from. Check your card statement: APPLE.COM/BILL → use Apple, GOOGLE * → use Google Play, otherwise you were billed directly by Preply.

Subscribed on an iPhone or iPad? Cancel via the App Store
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Preply, then tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
- No "Cancel" button here means you were not billed through Apple — use the direct method above.
Subscribed on Android? Cancel via Google Play
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon (top right).
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Select Preply, then tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
- On a computer you can do the same at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Cancel directly on Preply (web / account)
- Log in at preply.com and open your account menu → “Settings” → “Subscription” (or “Payments”).
- Select your active subscription and click “Cancel subscription”.
- Confirm — you keep any lessons already paid for in the current cycle.
- Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not auto-refund unused lessons.
⚠️ Watch out for
- Cancelling the subscription is separate from cancelling an individual scheduled lesson.
- If you subscribed in the mobile app via Apple or Google, cancel in that store instead.

Do my remaining lesson hours disappear when I cancel Preply?
Hours already paid for in the current period stay usable until the cycle ends; cancelling only stops the next renewal.
How do I get a refund from Preply?
Preply offers refunds for unused hours in some cases via the Help Center — request it before the hours expire.
How do I cancel Preply on iPhone or Android?
If you signed up directly, you can cancel Preply from any phone or computer browser in your account settings. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions screen instead — deleting the Preply app does not stop the billing.
How do I unsubscribe from Preply without being charged again?
Cancel before your next renewal date. Preply keeps your access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and once cancellation is confirmed you won't be billed again. Turning off auto-renewal has the same effect.
Can I cancel Preply without logging in or without account access?
If you can't log in, recover your account first — or cancel where you're billed. The Apple App Store, Google Play or PayPal can stop the payment even without Preply account access. As a last resort, ask your bank to block the recurring charge.

If Preply won’t let you cancel, send a certified cancellation letter (it’s legally binding), then dispute the charge with your bank and file an FTC complaint.
